Since Arizona is the number one mining state in the country, it’s no surprise that Phoenix is home to the Arizona Mining and Mineral Museum. This museum, which costs only $2 for adults and is free for children, features exhibits commemorating mining in the state and a large mineral display.

Here’s an interesting fact from the AZGFD: did you know that rainbow trout cost $2.10 per fish to stock, and farm-raised catfish cost about $3.50? That’s far less than what you’d pay per pound at a grocery store! And you get the added bonus of the warm, fuzzy feeling you get for having caught it yourself.
