Deeply rooted in Native American culture, Phoenix is the perfect host for the Arizona Indian Festival, held in January at Steele Indian School Park. All twenty-two of Arizona’s native tribes will be represented, allowing visitors a glimpse into the history of traditional American Indian villages, storytellers, musical performances and dances. Come and experience the culture, the beauty and tradition of Arizona’s indigenous ancestors.

Sailboat racing in the desert? That’s right! The waters at Lake Pleasant can be spotted with recreational sailboats in the hot summer months, in addition to the many serious racers that partake in the sport. Classes are offered out at the lake where you will learn race procedures, rules and tactics. By the end of the course, you’ll be qualified to compete in actual training races.
